CELEBRATING BRISBANE’S NEW PARALLEL RUNWAY
Brisbane Airport’s new runway is one of the largest aviation construction projects undertaken in Australia. Our involvement on the project extends back to 2013, when PSK was founded, and for many staff, their involvement extends even further to 2006 during the Environmental Impact Statement phase.
At PSK, we have undertaken various assessments for the project including:
- impact assessments in drains affected by iron staining
- acid sulfate soil management of a wetland experiencing acid impact
- devising new strategies and methodologies to treat acid sulfate soil when impacted by Asbestos Containing Material (ACM)
- acid sulfate soil assessments for material excavated and for material subject to dewatering for establishment of new drains
- monosulfidic black ooze (MBO) assessments
- development of acid sulfate soil management plans
- development of ACM management plans
We are proud of the contributions we have made to this key piece of infrastructure which will be bring significant economic benefits to the city of Brisbane for many years to come.
