Graduate Environmental Scientist

– proficient at Microsoft packages, including Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

– Undertaking of office-based work including entering field and laboratory data into Excel spreadsheets, creating tables of results, charts using Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for inclusion in reports.
– Undertaking field work, including water quality monitoring, soil sampling, dust monitoring.
– Preparing figures for inclusion in reports.
– Assisting Senior and principal staff with work tasks during high workload times.
– Liaising with sub-contractors to assist in the organisation of field activities.
– Undertaking work related programs and tasks safely.
– Developing a strong knowledge of relevant legislation and environmental work practices.

To be a successful candidate – you will possess:

– A bachelor’s degree or higher degree (or near completion) in either Environmental Science, Geology, Soil Science or Geochemistry.
– A current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel to remote locations if occasionally required.
