BRUCE HIGHWAY UPGRADE

CALOUNDRA, QLD

Specialist Acid Sulfate Soil (ASS) consulting services were provided for the $800 million Bruce Highway motorway upgrade between Caloundra Road and the Sunshine Motorway.

Rated as one of Queensland’s highest priority road projects, the scope included major upgrades to both interchanges and the delivery of a two-way service road for local traffic on the western side of the highway.

Assessments undertaken by PSK assisted in minimising the project footprint on environmentally sensitive areas.

ASSESSMENT UNDERTAKEN

  • PSK developed a detailed Sampling Analysis Plan (SAP), in accordance with the relevant State guidance documents which was utilised by others to recover samples for ASS testing

  • PSK prepared the ASS assessment report and ASS EMP which was incorporated into the Project CEMP
