We are excited to announce our ongoing Acid Sulfate Soil Investigation for a significant precinct development involving large-scale earthworks in South Australia. This project underscores our commitment to thorough environmental assessments and sustainable development practices. Under the field leadership of Aimee Aoake, our investigation has revealed intriguing gypsum crystals within the soil. These findings highlight an environment enriched in sulfate from pyrite oxidation and calcium from shell dissolution, showcasing the unique soil characteristics of the area.
Collaboration is essential to our success on this project, and we are proud to partner with Echo Risk Consulting, led by Nick Waniarcha and Andrew Durand in Adelaide, to deliver this project effectively and responsibly.
At PSK, we believe in promoting a culture of constant learning both inside and outside the office. Aimee’s passion for geology and exploration exemplifies this commitment. During her time in South Australia, she took the opportunity to visit the stunning Hallett Cove Conservation Park, reminding us that even amidst hard work, there is always room for inspiration and personal growth.
As we move forward, we look forward to sharing more insights and developments. Stay tuned for updates!
