Anne Schneider received her CPSS (Certified Professional Soil Scientist) accreditation. Soil Science Australia recognises this certificate as a ‘mark of trust, expertise and excellence in soil science.’ Well done Anne.

Anne has a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Queensland and ten years’ experience working as a consultant on industry projects including soil mapping, agricultural impact assessments, mine closure, Acid Sulfate Soil and contaminated land.

Silvana Santomartino achieved her CPSS specialist certification in Contaminated Site Assessment and Management (CSAM).

The specialist CPSS certification in Contaminated Site Assessment and Management (CSAM) was developed in response to the requirements detailed in the National Environment Protection (Assessment of Site Contamination) Measure (NEPM) 1999 as amended in 2013.

Soil Science Australia recognises a CPSS with CSAM certification as ‘providing assurance to all project stakeholders (including regulators, clients, auditors and the community) that the soil science advice is of the highest quality.’ Congratulations Silvana on this achievement.

Silvana has a PhD in Environmental Geochemistry from La Trobe University. She has over 20 years’ research and consulting experience in environmental geochemistry, particularly related to the assessment, management, treatment and remediation of contaminated land and Acid Sulfate Soil.
