TEAM BONDING FUN DAY – APPRECIATING NATURE FROM UP ABOVE!
With much of this year spent communicating with each other over the telephone and via Zoom, we decided it was time to get out and connect, not over the internet, but with a team bonding experience like no other. In an office full of environmental enthusiasts, the idea to spend a day flying over Moreton Island and Stradbroke Island spotting wildlife and appreciating the spectacular view from above took no convincing. The crystal blue ocean water made our task of spotting countless whales, dolphins, turtles and stingrays effortless.
Our day commenced with a helicopter tour over beautiful Moreton Island, the third largest sand island in the world, then across to the northern end of Stradbroke Island before landing at the Point Lookout Bowls Club. We enjoyed lunch before setting off on the famous North Gorge Walk. A gelato on Cylinder Beach was the perfect way to conclude the day before boarding the chopper back to Brisbane.
It was a day filled with shared experiences, team-bonding and gratitude for this wonderful pocket of South-East Queensland and its amazing wildlife. After all, this is why we chose to work in the environmental field – to preserve, protect and appreciate the amazing ecosystems on our doorstep.
