World Soil Day (WSD) is held annually on 5 December as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and to advocate for the sustainable management of soil resources. Founding Director, Dr Silvana Santomartino explains how PSK Environmental uses skills in soil science, geochemistry and environmental science to initiate soil testing and thus manage and treat soils so that they pose a lower risk to the environment.
